State Bar service – Rick Kraft is a past President of the New Mexico State Bar and was the youngest President in the State Bar's history when he served in this capacity in 1998-1999. He also served as President of the New Mexico Young Lawyers Division in 1986-1987 and was executive director of the Pamela Minzer State Bar Leadership Institute training lawyers statewide in leadership.

He has been a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers also since 1993 and is the only Fellow in New Mexico south of Albuquerque.

His peers elected him as a Super Lawyer in 2008 and he has been reelected eight times since. He is the only Super Lawyer in family law in New Mexico south of Albuquerque.
